Turnaround

You have 24 hours from the time a listing goes live to make a first impression. The cover photo on MLS, the social post your sellers share with their friends, the Zillow gallery that buyers scroll through at midnight — those images determine whether someone schedules a showing or keeps scrolling.

Listings with aerial photography sell 68% faster than those without, according to the National Association of Realtors. In a market like eastern North Carolina — where properties routinely sit on half-acre lots, back up to tree lines, and border farmland — aerial is not a luxury add-on. It is the only way to show what a property actually offers.

Lee Skyworks provides professional aerial photography and video for real estate agents, brokerages, and property managers across eastern NC. We are based in Goldsboro and serve Wayne, Nash, Wilson, Pitt, Johnston, Lenoir, and surrounding counties. FAA Part 107 certified, $1M insured, 24-hour turnaround on photos.

What You Get

Every real estate aerial package includes professionally edited, high-resolution images delivered via cloud link within 24-48 hours. You receive full usage rights — MLS, Zillow, Realtor.com, social media, print materials, property websites. No watermarks. No restrictions.

Aerial Photos ($150 - $200) — Our entry-level package works for standard residential listings. You get 10-15 edited photos captured from multiple angles and elevations, showing the home, lot, street context, and neighborhood. This is your baseline upgrade from ground-only photography.

Photo + Video ($250 - $350) — The most popular package for agents listing properties above $250K or homes with acreage. You get 15-20 edited aerial photos plus a 60-90 second edited video with smooth flyovers, orbits, and reveals. The video plays well on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, giving your listing a second marketing channel beyond MLS photos.

Premium Listing ($400 - $500) — For listings where presentation drives price. You get 20+ edited photos, a 2-3 minute cinematic video, and social media cuts formatted for vertical (Reels, TikTok) and square (feed posts). We include property boundary context shots that show lot lines, neighboring land, and proximity to amenities. This package turns a listing into a marketing campaign.

Luxury / Large Acreage ($500 - $750) — Full coverage for estate homes, working farms, land parcels over 10 acres, and waterfront properties. Multiple elevation passes, boundary context, 3+ minute video, twilight or golden hour scheduling, and all social media formats. When you are selling a $600K property on 40 acres in Wayne County, the buyer needs to see the full picture. Ground photos cannot deliver that.

Retainer and Bundle Options

If you list consistently, retainers save you money and guarantee availability.

Agent Monthly Retainer ($600 - $800/month) — Up to 4 shoots per month at a blended rate below individual pricing. Priority scheduling and guaranteed 24-hour turnaround. Best for agents closing 3+ listings per month.

Brokerage 10-Pack ($1,500 - $2,000) — Pre-purchase 10 aerial photo shoots at a volume discount. Share across your office. No expiration. Good for brokerages onboarding drone photography across their team.

Travel fee: Free within 30 miles of Goldsboro. $0.75 per mile beyond 30 miles.

How It Works

Step 1: Book your shoot. Call, text, or fill out our booking form. Tell us the property address, listing date, and which package you want. We confirm scheduling within 2 hours during business hours.

Step 2: We fly. We arrive on-site, confirm conditions, and execute the flight. Most shoots take 20-45 minutes. You do not need to be present. We handle all FAA airspace authorization, flight planning, and safety protocols. If weather forces a delay, we reschedule at no charge and communicate immediately.

Step 3: Receive your deliverables. Edited photos and video land in your inbox within 24-48 hours via a shareable cloud link. Download the files, upload to MLS, post to social media, send to your seller. Done.

We handle everything between the booking and the delivery. You handle selling the home.

Why Aerial Photography Sells Homes Faster

The data is clear. The National Association of Realtors reports that listings with aerial photography sell 68% faster than those relying on ground-level photos alone. MLS listings with drone photos receive 403% more inquiries according to multiple industry studies. And 83% of home sellers say they prefer working with agents who use drone photography in their marketing.

But the data only tells part of the story. The real question is what aerial photos show that ground photos physically cannot.

Property boundaries and lot size. In eastern NC, residential lots are significantly larger than what agents in the Triangle typically deal with. A quarter-acre lot in Cary looks the same from any angle. A two-acre lot in Nash County with a tree line, a creek, and a detached workshop? That story only gets told from above.

Neighborhood context. Aerial photos show proximity to schools, parks, shopping, and water. A buyer scrolling Zillow at 11 PM cannot drive the neighborhood. But they can see from an aerial shot that the house sits 200 yards from the elementary school and backs up to a greenway. That context drives showings.

Roof condition. In a hurricane corridor like eastern NC, roof condition matters to buyers and inspectors. An overhead shot provides a clear view without anyone climbing a ladder.

Outdoor features. Pools, decks, landscaping, outbuildings, fenced areas, garden plots — eastern NC homes often have more usable outdoor space than indoor. Aerial captures the full footprint in a single image.

Acreage and land features. Wayne County alone has 500-600 farms. Nash, Wilson, and Lenoir counties have hundreds more. When you are listing a property with 15 acres of cleared land and a pond, there is no ground-level photo that communicates what the buyer is purchasing.

Who This Is For

Aerial photography works for anyone selling, leasing, or marketing a property. Our clients include:

  • Residential real estate agents listing single-family homes, especially properties with acreage, large lots, pools, or significant outdoor features
  • Luxury and estate agents marketing high-end properties where presentation directly impacts sale price
  • Land and farm agents selling vacant land, agricultural parcels, and rural properties where aerial is the only way to show the asset
  • Commercial real estate brokers marketing retail centers, office parks, industrial sites, and development land
  • Property managers documenting multifamily properties, apartment communities, and HOA common areas
  • New construction builders showcasing model homes, subdivision progress, and community amenities

We serve agents and brokerages across eastern North Carolina, including Wilson and Rocky Mount, Greenville, and Clayton and Garner.

Our Equipment and Approach

We choose our equipment based on what the job requires, not what looks impressive on a spec sheet.

DJI Mini series — Our primary platform for real estate photography. Sub-250 grams, fast to deploy, and capable of sharp 4K photos and video. The compact size means we set up and start shooting in minutes, keeping on-site time short and minimizing disruption to neighbors and the property.

Skydio 2+ — For properties near obstacles, tight tree lines, or structures that require close-proximity shots. The Skydio’s autonomous obstacle avoidance lets us capture angles that manual flying cannot safely achieve. We use this for estate properties with complex layouts, commercial sites, and any situation where precision matters more than speed.

Every flight is planned in advance, LAANC-authorized where required, and logged. We carry $1M general liability insurance and hold active FAA Part 107 remote pilot certification. If a property falls within restricted airspace — near Seymour Johnson AFB in Goldsboro, for example — we obtain proper authorization before we fly. No shortcuts.

Turnaround and Delivery

Standard turnaround is 24-48 hours. Photos are color-corrected, horizon-leveled, and exported at full resolution. Video is edited with smooth transitions, stabilized footage, and delivered in formats ready for MLS, social media, and web. Everything arrives via a cloud link — no thumb drives, no file size limits, no waiting.

The Eastern NC Real Estate Market

Eastern North Carolina is not the Triangle. The median home price is lower, the lots are bigger, and the competitive landscape for agents is different. But the opportunity for aerial photography is arguably larger here than in Raleigh or Durham.

Nationally, 52% of real estate agents use drone photography in their listings. In eastern NC, adoption is significantly lower. In Wayne, Nash, Wilson, and Lenoir counties, the majority of listings still rely on phone photos or basic ground-level photography. That gap is an opportunity.

If you are an agent in Goldsboro, Wilson, Rocky Mount, Kinston, or Greenville, using aerial photography right now puts you ahead of most of your local competition. Your listings look different. Your seller presentations include something the competing agent cannot match. And the data shows your listings move faster.

The combined eastern NC corridor — Wayne, Nash, Wilson, Pitt, Lenoir, and Johnston counties — represents over 7,000 home sales annually. The agents who adopt aerial early in this market will establish themselves as the premium option before it becomes standard.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does drone photography cost for a home listing? +
In eastern North Carolina, real estate drone photography ranges from $150 for a standard aerial photo package to $750 for full luxury coverage including cinematic video, twilight shots, and social media cuts. Most agents spend $250-350 for a photo and video combo that covers the majority of residential listings.
How long does a real estate drone shoot take? +
Most residential shoots take 20-45 minutes on-site depending on property size and the package you've selected. Large acreage or luxury properties with video may take up to an hour. You don't need to be present — just make sure the property is presentable and we have access.
Do I need FAA permission for drone photos of my listing? +
You don't need to worry about that — we handle all airspace authorization. Lee Skyworks is FAA Part 107 certified and we obtain LAANC authorization for every flight. All flights are logged and compliant. You just schedule the shoot and we handle the rest.
What's the difference between aerial photos and aerial video? +
Aerial photos are individual high-resolution still images captured from multiple angles and elevations — ideal for MLS listings and print materials. Aerial video is edited footage showing smooth flyovers and orbits of the property, typically 60 seconds to 3 minutes. Video performs especially well on social media, YouTube listing tours, and property websites. Most agents find the photo + video combo gives them the most marketing flexibility.
Can you shoot drone photos in bad weather? +
We don't fly in rain, heavy fog, or sustained winds above 25 mph — it's unsafe and produces poor results. If conditions are marginal on your scheduled day, we'll communicate early and reschedule at no charge. Eastern NC weather is generally cooperative for aerial photography from March through November, with summer afternoon thunderstorms being the most common disruption.
How quickly will I get my photos back? +
Standard turnaround is 24-48 hours from the shoot. Photos are delivered via a cloud link you can share directly with your MLS upload, marketing team, or social media. Same-day rush delivery is available for an additional fee — just let us know when you book.
